He wanted to build a full blown race cage. The removeable one is more for holding my butt in and would be nice to take it out for road use, easier to get in and out. The sides i wanted a removeable one, that kinda would follow the seat line, and one at the floor. OK i wanted the normall two spreaders on the sides, at the top, and either an X in the middle or two straight ones. WHAT? So how many on you guys still have the stock roll bar and who cut another one up for the front hoop? The second thing he said was, what i wanted would never work. Granted this info is based on much larger diameter and wall thickness materials, but the fact is that pipe is actually extremely strong structuraly. In structural applications, it seems that Tubing is only used in square applications, pipe is used in round applications. Their are numerouse established load charts that they can use for pipe in structural applications, but none for (Round) tubing.
